At Knai Bang Chatt, we believe in taking care of our people

The foundation of all that we do at Knai is rooted in both involvement and investment in the social development of the community. Recently, we completed an 18-month infrastructure project to maintain an on-site staff housing for 80 people. This includes solar panels for green energy, a built-in water treatment system, laundry and restaurant facilities in-house. Our staff are served three delicious meals per day in our staff restaurant (with their own private chef to boot!). We also provide English language courses during the low season to develop their communication skills. The array of amenities on-site give our staff the space and time to discover what they want as a career with Knai Bang Chatt, and relieve the daily pressures and distractions that can often become a hindrance to excelling in your career.

This is how we take care of our people. They are not a cog in the wheel, but rather a significant part of what makes Knai an unforgettable experience. We take pride in the quality of service and the unique experience that we can give you, but none of these would be possible without our wonderful staff. Estelle Bergandi

General Manager

With over 8 years of experience working in Asia, and about 15 years working in hospitality around the globe, Estelle has a profound passion for Cambodia’s people and its rich culture.

Originally from France, she has now proudly calls Cambodia home.

Pheakdey Phang

Resident & Operations Manager

Originally from Kampot in Cambodia Pheakdey has gained valuable experience and knowledge in the hotel and hospitality industry for 8 years.

Jay Scaife

Executive Chef and Director of Food & Beverage

Canadian born, Jay has worked abroad in many destinations, including the Bahamas. Jay has a wealth of experience in excellence in hotel hospitality and has found a love and appreciation for the flavours of Cambodia.

Chheom Mondul

Front Office Manager

Mondul is a local Kep native. Mondul started with Knai Bang Chatt in the role of bell boy, through hardwork and dedication Mondul has found his vocation in the excellence of front office customer service. Mondul exemplifies the essence and DNA of Knai Bang Chatt.

Sun Samnang

Housekeeping & Laundry Manager

Originally from Siem Reap province in Cambodia’s northern region and with over 8 years in hospitality and tourism Samnang leads our unsung heroes in the housekeeping and laundry department.

Sodang Chan

Engineering and Maintenance Manager

Often referred to as the nuts and bolts of our resort Sodang is our head of engineering and maintenance at Knai Bang Chatt.

Born in the capital Phnom Penh Sodang and his family now live in the south cost of Cambodia.

Say Kolap

HR Manager & Administration

Ms Kolap was born in rural Kampot in a town called Ang Thom Som. Kolap is a bright, well educated and hardworking individual with very strong family and Khmer values, making her the perfect fit for the Knai Bang Chatt team.

Lai Chenda

Spa Manager & Lead Yoga Instructor

Ms. Chenda has a beautiful soul and is our fully qualified spa manager. Trained extensively in Kundalini yoga, Chenda brings a sense of peace and wholeness to our day. Chenda is also originally from Siem Reap province.
